A sacred place of remembrance. A living record of Utica.
Serving families, honoring ancestors, and preserving community history since 1886.
New Forest Cemetery is more than a resting place. It is a landscape of family, faith, service, and resilience—holding generations of Utica history and the stories of many families whose lives helped shape the community. Today, New Forest continues to serve families while caring for its grounds, preserving records and monuments, and building a stronger future through community support.

Care for a Place That Holds Our History
New Forest belongs to the community it remembers. Volunteer with neighbors, descendants, churches, students, veterans’ groups, and local organizations on approved cleanup, landscaping, documentation, and history-preservation projects. No monument may be cleaned, repaired, moved, or altered without cemetery authorization.
Every name matters. Every story belongs in the record.
Together, we can preserve this sacred place for the families who visit today and for generations to come. Plan a visit, request burial information, share a family story, volunteer, or help sustain the work.
